Is anything happening? Things have been very quiet the last three months regarding that task. I gave a lot of input to Peter Lofting on these issues, but my emails have registered no response for some months...so I gather he is out of country (U.K.). My reason for inquiring is that an important committee of linguistic experts (everybody who is somebody!) in the Royal Cambodian Government has recently sent me a significantly revised list of Cambodian vowels. This would simplify a UNICODE encoding while still being backward compatible with earlier texts and comprehensive. There are still some ambiguities which I am trying to have the committee clarify. Hopefully these issues will be cleared up within a month. I am eager to implement Khmer UNICODE as soon as possible (initially under System 8 of MacOS using GX fonts) within the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. Here in Cambodia I do not have access to the Web...and filling up UNICEF's email box is not appreciated (hence, I have not subscribed to your mailing list from here). Please pardon the interference, but I would appreciate your response to my request. Gratefully, Maurice Bauhahn
