Attachment 1 - Turkey

We have no information regarding these characters.  That's why we decided not to participating in the voting.
Principally, we are against this kind of proposals because 10646-1 hasn't been solving the problems in relation with latin characters up to now.

Attachment 2 - UK

UK COMMENTS ACCOMPANYING VOTE OF APPROVAL ON ISO/IEC 10646-1/FPDAM.26 - MYANMAR (AKA BURMESE) (JTC1/SC2 N 3203)

Technical comment.

While the character repertoire proposed in the FPDAM is sufficient for the proper presentation of the Myanmar script, it is insufficient for processing coded text in an unambiguous manner. This is because it lacks many "tonal vowels" which are an essential part of the Myanmar alphabet, and which are required for correct spelling of words in the language. A separate proposal for suitably extending the Myanmar repertoire will be submitted by the UK experts to JTC1/SC2/WG2 as soon as possible.

If this proposal cannot be processed as part of the FPDAM, then a suitable Note should be added to the text of the AMD to state that a proposed extension to the repertoire to include tonal vowels is under review.

Editorial comments.

Page 2 (code table: Table 240)

a. This table should be added to the list of tables to which the "Unique spelling rule" for Level 2 applies, see SC2/WG2 N1796, clause 24.2.

b. The glyph at position 1020 should be adjusted to look like glyph 14B0 in Myanmar proposal WG2 N 1815, i.e. it is drawn in one continuous line, with upper and lower portions linked at the right edge.

Page 3 (names table: Table 240)

a. The last component of the character name at 100A should be NYNYA not NNYA, in accordance with the transliteration conventions.

b. The character name at 1037 should be MYANMAR SIGN AUKMYIT (not ...DOT BELOW) using the Myanmar name.
