8.1. Change of L2 name

Both Ed and Arnold have floated the idea of changing the TC name from “Codes and Character Sets” to “Character Sets and Internationalization”.

Members of the L2 committee voted unanimously to request that INCITS change the name of L2 from INCITS Technical Committee L2, Codes and Character Sets to INCITS Technical Committee L2, Character Sets and Internationalization.

The rationale for this change is to better reflect L2's position as TAG to both JTC1/SC2 and JTC1/SC22/WG20.
