[110-A64] Action Item for Ken Whistler: Add 88 Bamum characters to pipeline. See L2/07-024.

[110-A65] Action Item for Michael Everson: Update Bamum proposal L2/07-024 section on names to discuss syllable vs letter in char names, and indicate why they chose "letter".

NOTE: Make a few other corrections and updates as discussed in committee. Change names of A6D0 and A6D1 to use "combining mark".

[110-A72] Action Item for Asmus Freytag, Editorial Committee: Issue a glyph erratum on U+0460 and U+047E based on document L2/07-003, page 10.

C.4 Additional Mathematical and Symbol Characters [Freytag, Beeton, et.al., L2/07-011R]

[110-C39] Consensus: Accept 29 new math characters as documented in L2/07-011R, removing the clone of solidus overlay, and adding "black small star" at U+2B51, and moving everything else down accordingly. Accept for a future version of the standard and a future amendment to 10646.

[110-A73] Action Item for Ken Whistler: Add 29 new math symbols to pipeline as documented in L2/07-011R, removing the clone of solidus overlay, and adding "black small star" at U+2B51, and moving everything else down accordingly.

[110-A74] Action Item for Asmus Freytag: Create an updated proposal for L2/07-011R and forward to WG2. See consensus 110-C39. The proposal should have a good list of precisely what's in it; currently, there isn't such a list.

C.14 Proposal to add Medievalist and Iranianist punctuation characters [SEI, Everson, L2/07-004]

Recommend to remove the "interpunctum circle" from the Medievalist proposal. Make an alias for it at U+25E6.

The SC did not have unanimous support for the following four characters and recommended that this issue be decided by the UTC in plenary session:

[110-C40] Consensus: Accept the following 16 punctuation characters from document L2/07-004 for encoding in a future version of the standard, and a future amendment of 10646:

NOTE: UTC did NOT accept these characters in the proposal:

[110-A75] Action Item for Ken Whistler: Add 16 punctuation characters as per consensus 110-C40 to pipeline. See L2/07-004.

[110-A76] Action Item for Michael Everson: Update the proposal L2/07-004 with suggested name changes, and add "ring point" at U+2E38.

[110-A77] Action Item for Michael Everson, Debbie Anderson: Create a new proposal for Medievalist and Iranianist punctuation characters focused only on the positura and other related punctuation characters in L2/07-004 that were not accepted, for which questions remain, taking into account input from Odd Einer, Parkes, and other medievalists.

[110-C41] Consensus: Accept the four half-brackets documented in L2/07-004 at U+2E42 - U+2E45 for encoding in a future version of the standard and future amendment of 10646.

[110-A79] Action Item for Ken Whistler: Update the names list so that annotations are consistent with the new half brackets. See L2/07-004 and consensus 110-C41.

[110-A80] Action Item for Ken Whistler: Update the names list to be consistent with suggestions in L2/07-007 regarding Cyrillic glyph changes in section 2.

C.6 Reconsidering the encoding of I LONGA [Pentzlin, L2/07-032, L2/06-269]

[110-A81] Action Item for Rick McGowan: Write back to the author of L2/07-032 and say that the scripts subcommittee considers that the example PDF he cites shows a transcription from older Roman orthography into modern lower case. We don't see the need to add a lower case for the I LONGA or the other similar letters from L2/06-269. Ask him if he has any further input or evidence that I LONGA is being used unequivocally in a lower cased form, as opposed to a transcription that happens to use modern lower case. (For example, in the cited PDF accents were added, u/v and i/j were disambuguiated, etc.)

C.20 Addition of seven CJK Unified Ideographs [Muller, Lunde, L2/07-067]

[110-C42] Consensus: Accept 7 CJK ideographs documented in L2/07-067 in amendment 4, at locations U+9FBC through U+9FC2 for encoding in a future version of the standard.

[110-A83] Action Item for Michel Suignard: Add 7 CJK ideographs documented in L2/07-067 in amendment 4, at locations U+9FBC through U+9FC2 to ballot comments for amendment 4.

[110-A84] Action Item for Eric Muller: Send the revised document L2/07-067 to Mike Ksar for WG2 consideration.

[110-A85] Action Item for Eric Muller: Gather and submit the usual Unihan.txt data for the 7 new ideographs in L2/07-067.

C.10 Rumi numerals [Lazrek, L2/06-291]

[110-A86] Action Item for Rick McGowan, Debbie Anderson: Follow up on Rumi with Lazrek and other scholars. We need to drive this to some kind of closure. Questions: is this set sufficient base for encoding? Try to move forward by next meeting. May need more information on how to actually implement these. See L2/06-291.

C.18 Encoded Representation of Devanagari Candra A [Constable, L2/07-027]

[110-C43] Consensus: Accept the "Devanagari Letter Candra A" at U+0972 for encoding in a future version of the standard.

[110-A87] Action Item for Ken Whistler: Add "Devanagari Letter Candra A" at U+0972 to pipeline.

[110-A88] Action Item for Michel Suignard: Add "Devanagari Letter Candra A" at U+0972 to ballot comments for amendment 3 including an indication of the urgency for encoding it in support of Marathi.

[110-A89] Action Item for Peter Constable: Add proposal summary form to L2/07-027 and resubmit with appropriate changes to reflect proposal to encode. And forward it to WG2 for consideration.

C.3 CJK Character U+4039
C.3.1 Proposal to Disunify U+4039 [West, Jenkins L2/07-010]
C.3.2 Feedback [Whistler, L2/07-020]

[110-A90] Action Item for John Jenkins: Update the proposal L2/07-010 in accordance with comments from Ken's document, then send to WG2 requesting that they take action.

End Subcommittee Items

Suspended UTC and convened L2 plenary at 3:00. Returned to UTC/L2 joint meeting at 3:40.

[110-C44] Consensus: Make the following changes in properties, as per analysis of document L2/07-071:

0374 Alphabetic = F T
0374 gc = Sk Lm
0374, 0385, 1FC1, 1FED..1FEF, 1FFD sc = Greek Common
0387 Wordbreak = Other MidLetter
0387 Other_ID_Continue

(Note: We already had an action for Mark to do: FA30..FA64 Ideographic = F T)

[110-A92] Action Item for Mark Davis, Ken Whistler: Make changes to UCD data files for property changes as in above consensus 110-C44.

B.2.2.1 ISO/IEC CD 19757-7: Document Schema Definition Languages (DSDL) - Part 7: Character Repertoire Description Language [SC34, L2/06-397, L2/07-052]

[110-C45] Consensus: UTC thinks there are serious technical problems with the document ISO/IEC CD 19757-7: Document Schema Definition Languages (DSDL) - Part 7: Character Repertoire Description Language (SC34, L2/06-397). The grapheme cluster description is unnecessarily restrictive and makes it impossible to describe repertoires containing particular combining marks. UTC has serious concerns about any IANA registrations, and the registration process is unspecified.

[110-A93] Action Item for Eric Muller: Forward comments regarding ISO/IEC CD 19757-7: Document Schema Definition Languages (DSDL) - Part 7: Character Repertoire Description Language [SC34, L2/06-397, L2/07-052] on behalf of L2 before February 21, 2007.

[110-A95] Action Item for Cibu Johny, Mark Davis, Eric Muller, Editorial Committee: Create text and background material for Malayalam in the 5.0.1 beta.

[110-A96] Action Item for Rick McGowan, Editorial Committee: Respond to (A) contributors reporting on the results of the recent conference in Kerala, and to (B) people who contributed PRI #96 feedback.

[110-A97] Action Item for Lisa Moore: Push all significant agenda items which haven't been covered to the next UTC agenda.

[110-A98] Action Item for Rick McGowan, Ken Whistler: Create draft PropList.txt data (especially punctuation and symbols) for all of the new characters that have been accepted at this meeting. Come back with suggested resolution at next meeting. (Check PropAliases.txt, and focus on the non-trivial properties. See also http://www.unicode.org/cldr/utility/properties.html)

[110-A99] Action Item for Rick McGowan: Make up the set of questions for determining character properties, particularly punctuation. (While doing the above action 110-A99.)
