Subject: IRG Liaison Report


The Kunming meeting went very well, and a fair amount of progress
was made on the Principals and Procedures document and revisions to
Annex S.  Dr. Lu and I both hit everybody over the head about fonts,
and everybody agreed to supply fonts to Michel, at least.  (Some were
rather reluctant to supply fonts to me in addition to Michel, but that
only affects the printing of the radical-stroke charts and only if the
characters come from exactly one source.)

We did have to remove some characters from both our Urgently Needed
Characters proposal and our Extension D proposal because we couldn't
find sufficient evidence for them.  I haven't updated the data files
for TR 45 to reflect the changes yet.
