Background
At the October 12-13, 2010 INCITS Executive Board meeting, it was noted
that INCITS/L2 had requested INCITS Executive Board approval to serve as
the US TAG to JTC 1/SC 35/WG 5 as it had learned that the WG was
restarting some work in the area of internationalization which is in the
scope of L2. The US HoD report for the August 2010 SC 35 Plenary
had noted this new work and the anticipated L2 interest.
INCITS/V2, the US TAG to SC 35, was asked to provide input on the
INCITS/L2 request; however, no response to the INCITS Secretariat's
request was received for Executive Board consideration.
The Executive Board addressed the following motion:

The INCITS Executive Board approves the INCITS/L2 request to serve as
the US TAG to JTC 1/SC 35/WG 5 - Cultural and Linguistic Adaptability.
Vote on the motion: unanimous consent [11-0-0-9=20]
The motion passed.
The following action item was assigned:
Action Item
(a10.213): The INCITS Secretariat will notify INCITS/L2,
INCITS/V2 and ANSI ISO Team of the approval of INCITS/L2 as the US TAG
to JTC 1/SC 35/WG 5.
Notification of INCITS Executive Board Decision
The INCITS Executive Board has approved the INCITS/L2 request to serve
as the US TAG to JTC 1/SC 35/WG 5 - Cultural and Linguistic
Adaptability.
