The Unicode Consortium Discussion Forum

Welcome to the Unicode Forum discussion on PRI 207 - UTR#50, Unicode Properties for Vertical Text Layout. As the editor for UTR#50, I will be serving as the "consolidator" for this forum. The document under review is available at http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr50/tr50-5.html.

For the discussion, please use topics as you would use threads in email: each topic should focus on one aspect of the text under review. The forum posts are not moderated. The goal here is to encourage interaction between the reviewers.

All along the review period, I will maintain a draft document that consolidates the feedback (under the "Consolidated feedback" topic). This will be a visible, live document, and you will be able to influence it. Hopefully, it will accurately reflect the opinions/suggestions. A week or so before the UTC meeting, I will submit this document for consideration by the UTC. If you think your views are not adequately represented in this consolidated document, you will have the opportunity to submit formally your own feedback directly to the UTC.

This process is a bit new for Unicode, please pardon the hesitations. Suggestions welcome.
