As an exercise, I tried to find out the Unicode character codes for the Chinese characters in Figure 12.4 CJK Source Separation.

From left to right, with the exception of the third character, these were the Unicode codes I've found using basically the radical stroke index for 'knife'. But oddly the third character in Figure 12.4 isn't there.

U+5263(剣), U+528D(劍), U+????, U+5294(劔), U+5292(劒) and U+91FC(釼)

Does anyone know why ? And what is the code for this character ?

PS. I tried to insert an image, from a .png file in my computer, into this post, to no avail. Could someone tell me how to do this ?

I've found out what is the problem here : I was using the font MingLiu in MS Word to render the character U+5271 obtaining this 剱. But if I use the MS Gothic font I get the third glyph in the Figure 12.4. So it seems like one of the two fonts is buggy.

This forum does not support image storage. Most forums with similar policies "solve" this issue by letting the users use a free image hosting site and then paste a link here. That should work here as well. If your link ends in ".jpg" (and possibly "png" or "gif") then you can use the img tag, and the picture will show, otherwise, you need to use the url tag and then readers have to click on it.
