Summary of the outcome of PRI 205, as resolved at UTC meeting # 129, Oct. 31 - Nov. 4, 2011.
1. The UTC accepted U+061C ARABIC LETTER MARK (abbreviation ALM) for encoding in a future version of the standard. After discussion, it was decided that ARABIC LETTER MARK was the best choice for a name after all.
2. The UTC decided not to take any action at this time on encoding LEVEL DIRECTION MARK (LDM) or on making any changes to the Unicode Bidirectional Algorithm. The concerns that led to the proposal for LDM will be studied further, in coordination with ongoing bidi layout work in the W3C CSS working group and for HTML5, and a revised proposal to address these concerns will be issued in the future.
