Richard Ishida is a Global Design Consultant with Xerox, in the UK. He delivers seminars and courses on the design of international software and user interfaces, to product development groups around the world, both within and external to Xerox, and is a regular speaker at major globalisation and IT conferences. Key activities at Xerox over the past year include developing UI internationalisation guidelines for Fuji Xerox, reviewing Xerox products for translatability, and taking an active part in corporate globalisation coherence and time to market initiatives. He has a background which includes translating and interpreting, computational linguistics, and translation tools. And has spent time studying French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Japanese and Arabic. |
