Andrew Hodgson has been working in the information technology domain for over 15 years. He has been involved in information retrieval work since 1989 when he joined Fulcrum Technologies. At Fulcrum he became the chief architect of many character set and language solutions, including Fulcrum's Japanese support. In August 1997 he left Fulcrum and formed Lyricom Consulting, which is focused on helping clients understand and resolve multilingual information retrieval problems.
