Biography

Tina Lieu, Project Manager at Basis Technology Corp., has worked closely with Lycos in its internationalization and localization efforts in Asia as consultant and linguistic liaison. Ms. Lieu has over four years of experience living and working in Tokyo and is fluent in spoken and written Japanese. As associate editor of Tokyo-based Computing Japan magazine from 1996 to 1997, she researched and wrote several articles about the Japanese IT industry including two feature stories on the state of the software localization industry in Japan. Ms. Lieu studied journalism for two years at Sophia University in Tokyo and received her bachelor's degree in political science from Williams College.
