Ian MacLeod is the technical lead on the project to implement Unicode data types in the Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise database. With over 20 years experience in the field, Ian is a veteran of the "good old days" of computing, who is nevertheless convinced that the best has yet to come. A member of the Global Products Group within Sybase for over 4 years, Ian is a Unicode evangelist who never misses an opportunity to convince co-workers, customers, and random individuals on the street, that diversity is a Good Thing.
