Israel Gidali - IBM Israel
Israel Gidali is the manager of Complex Text Languages support in the IBM GCoC (Globalization Competency Center).
His house and family are located in Israel while he travels extensively to promote the development of Bidirectional Scripts support in IBM products. Israel is the author of the IBM National Language Design Guide Vol 3 - Bidi Guide and is involved in the work of different standard groups; (he was the leading person behind the development and publishing of the Open Group CAE Specification: Portable Layout Services: Content Dependent and Directional Text). Israel derives pleasure from learning and using new languages wherever he travels, and even more pleasure returning home to his own family.
