Globalization Improvements in Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0

In .NET Framework v2.0 Microsoft further improved the support for the Unicode standard in the area of supplementary characters and normalization. More region-specific requirements are met by the addition of new calendars and International Domain Name functionality. New is also the support to customize existing cultures and even add new ones which is crucial to enable the programming platform for emerging markets and minority populations. This talk will introduce these features and show how the .NET Framework v2.0 went even a step further than previous versions in providing comprehensive globalization functionality.
