I would like to draw the attention of those who like different scripts and
read Japanese to a work called "Sekai no moji no zuten" (ed. by the Sekai no mo
ji kenkyukai, i.e. The Study Group on the Writing Systems of the World), Tokyo:
Yoshikawa Kobunkan, 1993. This is a (mostly handwritten), 605 page overview
of the world's scripts, and is in many parts a welcome and newer addition to
the Diringer and Jensen volumes, familiar to us all.
