According to XLFD:

  private font property names are of the form: _ (LOW LINE), followed by
  the organizational identifier, followed by _ (LOW LINE), and
terminated
  with the property name

XLFD talks about "range of characters", but I think fonts actually
contain glyphs, so how about something like:

  _XFREE86_GLYPH_RANGES
