There's a Rs symbol at U+20A8 (but no Re symbol), and a Bengali rupee mark
and sign at U+09F2 and U+09F3. In the other Indian scripts, Rupee
abbreviated can easily be with the
characters already provided. What is missing in Tamil is the Tamil variant
of Om (O with inscribed ma), and the year/month/day symbols, sometimes seen
on publications. Tamil Grantha is a separate script, and, as far as I know,
being worked on.

A currency sign still missing is the Philippine Peso sign, a P with one or
two horizontal
strokes thru it. It is very common in the Philippines.
