Just to make the record clear, I did not start the discussion about
the metric system or any other system of measurement, U.S. reluctance
to adopt the metric system, or any such thing. I wrote about characters
encoded in ISO 8859-1 and 8859-15, which, although not strictly on the
Unicode topic, is mighty close.
