Plan9, BeOS, Linux (*), Solaris 2.8 (+), any other POSIX system with a
UTF-8 locale and terminal emulator, etc.

(*) the necessary updates are quite new and not yet found in most Linux
distributions as of April 2000. For details on the current status, see
