My intention is to help the font developers to write the routines for Indic
Shaping. That is to say give some guidance to develop Indic fonts. I'm in
favour of Unicode. It is not a good idea to shut out the flow of information,
just for some mystic believes.
The following "soon-to-be- released" says it all.

BUT converting an already designed Indic font for the Indic OpenType
format is NOT a difficult task (in particular with the soon-to-be-
released Visual OpenType Layout Tool from Microsoft). An moderately
complex font should be converted in less than one day by a (skilled)
enginneer, I think.
