By popular request(s), a few enhancements have been added:

1) character names now also show up (if the names exist in nameslist.txt)
2) better validation of surrogate code points/supplementary characters
3) character names for BMP characters
4) fixup for misordered high/low surrogates

And I have to go out now, so I am putting this page down.
