Only if the Defenders of Unicode mount the ramparts to repel the attack.

Remember that there is still the compatibility character argument to
be made for roundtrip mapping to other standards. That can always
be wielded like a trebuchet to knock down the walls.

And there is a massive battle yet to be fought regarding just which
additional obscure Han characters get in, and whether they will be
treated as unified ideographs or as variants of existing ideographs.
