I am interested in world-wide use of cover sheet standards. I would
like to trace down the first cover sheet standards in as many
countries as possible.
I am also interested when the cover sheet and endorsement methods
became officially recognised and/or recommended by ISO. I have no
access to the first edition (1981) of ISO/IEC Guide 21 ("Adoption of
International Standards as regional or national standards") which may
contain the answer.
In particular, I would like to verify the information that French
telecommunication standards are in English. If it is really so, I
would like to know the exact symbols and titles of some early standard
of this type.
I will prepare a summary and make it available to interested parties.
I would very much appreciate receiving off the list any information
which is relevant to this topic. Thank you in advance for your
