This is absolutely incorrect. One has to pay to buy a hard copy of these
standards, and I think part 2 of ISO 3166 can only be obtained by purchase.
But the code tables for ISO 3166-1 and ISO 639-1/-2 are published on-line,
and it there are no fees required to make use of the identifiers in these
code tables, including in commercial products.
