    hmm, yeah. maybe i was pushing it a bit with consonants and vowels, but
    upper and lowercase for example isn't seen as a linguistical thing. and
    there must be other types of char grouping for other languages, sort of
    on the same level as u/l case. forgetting consonants and vowels, i
    don't think it is so much a linguistic thing i'm after.
