    Yes, I know this option can be turned off. As a matter of fact,
    turning off all "smart" autoformatting is the first thing I do
    whenever I get a new version of MS-Word, because otherwise it won't
    let me type geographical names like 's-Hertogenbosch correctly.

    Only partially. My complaint was valid: Word does not know to
    capitalize i+j correctly, but it does know about U+0133. So for
    example, the "titlecase" function turns ijver into Ijver, but it
    does turn ijver into IJver correctly. Hence my wailing.

    P.S. sorry about the two typos in my name. I'll try not to type so
    hastily in the future.
