    Hi,
I want one font to be used across all languages. Is it possible? For
example, I want Tahoma to be used for all languages for all OS. Does Tahoma
    support this?

    Thanks and Regards,

From my experience, the default Windows GUI fonts on Win 2000 / XP are: MS
UI Gothic (Japanese with Proportional Latin half-width characters),
PMingLiu (Traditional Chinese with Proportional Latin half-width
characters), and Simsun (Simplified Chinese Fixed).

A problem I have found is that on Simplified Chinese Windows, the fixed
pitch Simsun font is used as the GUI default font so some half-width Latin
text might have some display problems. There is also a font on the
Simplified Chinese system"called" Simsun Proportional, which would seem to
be the better GUI font to use, but in fact, despite the name difference, it
does not contain any half-width proportional characters. It appears to be
exactly the same as Simsun fixed. I hope that Microsoft will fix this
problem so that non-localized applications will still display Latin text
correctly on a Simplified Chinese system.

    Best Regards,

    Robert Seaman

    Hi,
We have a GUI software that is running on win NT/2K/XP/95/98/ME. The
software is developed using Visual Studio 6 and has a common source code
base for all supported Win OS.
The GUI is to be internationalized. The minimum language support of the
    GUI
software are Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese,
    Spanish, UK Eng.
We are using RC-Win Trans 7 as the localization tool. The tool by default
sets Tahoma as the Font. What I wanted to know (confirm) is that will
    Tahoma
work for all languages (including East-Asian languages)? If not where can I
find the information as to what Font goes with what Language (and OS if
    dependent)?

    Thanks and Regards,
