I count a lot of variations within the presented samples:

    - size: upper case / lower case / superscript
    - overlay: slash / pipe / broken pipe / "tick" (a la U+030D) / none

This deals away with the possibility of of encoding this character
adequately by means of U+0043 with any additional combining character
and cries for a standalone character. (U+20B4 is still free, isn't
    it?...)
