What does it means? I mean, do we know how all the languages used with this
script spelled the numbers? did they all like we do in Latin-derived
languages, and none with the Sanskrit-derived order
(three-and-forty-and-hundred)? Because I was under the impression that the
digits in Sanskrit should be written "from right to left", and in French
"from left to right", with the identical real end result!
Since I never adequately understood the rules for the Arabic digits (and the
2 sets of them; I only know this the reason for the difference), perhaps
someone do have a good basic reference (preferably online) on this for me to
get it right.
