    Hi, Eric

Does 'most of our applications' include Acrobat? The last time I looked
at the PDF file format (which is a couple of years ago) it did not allow
text to be represented as Unicode.

    Cheers

Most of our applications now use Unicode to represent text internally
(some started a long time ago, others are more recent converts). I
believe that none of them properly renders the Indic scripts (in fact,
none even attempts to do so).

    Eric.
