As far as I know the language and character specific things in windows are
taken care of by a Microsoft dll and if any applications support that dll,
the problems should not be there, atleast theoritically.

Adobe CS2 applications support Unicode characters - however I don't think
they yet support the script & language specific OpenType shaping features
necessary to render Indic scripts like Bengali correctly. AFAIK Quark Xpress
7.0 has no support for OpenType features beyond those found in Adobe
InDesign.
