Interesting article. I hope its characterization of Nom as a script
that "was once used by poets and philosophers," and its statement that
"very few Vietnamese can decipher Nom," will register with people who
continue to refer to Han as a "CJKV" script. Han is purely historical
among speakers of Vietnamese, and overwhelmingly historical and/or
ceremonial among speakers of Korean.
