    Regarding the process encoding of any character in the UTC meetings, I don't
    think I have ever heard a connection with open-source cited as a pro *or*
    con. Whether individuals are for or against open-source have really never
    been relevant to any discussions of character encoding; the main issues that
    matter regarding getting symbols encoded are the issues I cited.
