    LATIN SMALL LIGATURE IJ is, as well as LATIN CAPITAL LIGATURE IJ,
    already contained in MES-1 (as an heritage from ISO 6937), and thus
    has to be retained in ISO/IEC 9995-3 anyway, for compatibility reasons.
