    This is to announce a workshop:

      Transcription systems and UNICODE
      Special characters in a standardised world

    organized by:
      Cultural Diversity Focus Group (CDFG)

    Workshop location: Wohllebengasse 12-14, SR 1, Vienna (Austria)
    Workshop date: Wednesday, 2008-11-05, 08:00 - 13:30
      (being held directly before the CEN/TC304 meeting)
    Workshop languages: English and German
      (oral presentations in German, slides in English,
       discussions in both languages).

    · transcription systems and UNICODE
    · Teuthonista – a transcription system and its use, significance, history,
        development etc.
    · problems caused by special characters in the digital domain
    · presentation of problem-solving approaches
