If you read a lot of Chinese websites you'l be used to seeing non-BMP
characters represented by their component sub-characters as {XY} and
such like, e.g.
<http://coca227272.mysinablog.com/index.php?op=ViewArticle&articleId=453783
where 𨋢 is represented as (車立). It's a very ugly solution.
