    Perhaps applicable to other scripts discussed on this list as well:


    Perhaps we could use a diagnostic such as this with respect to
    controversial additions such as emoji, etc. If a sample of "native"
    emoji use does not show the appropriate entropic structure, it's not
    writing, and thus not encodable.

    Just kidding - I think.
