    This bears similarities to Huffman coding, which is itself out of the
    scope of this list. Unicode-specific compressions like SCSU and BOCU-1
    are on topic, though they don't have many fans, but part of the reason
    they matter is because people came forth with good numbers and how and
    where they work, not just dumped the algorithm on us. Frankly, given
    the lack of interest those two have, even if your compression was
    Unicode-specific and was presented well, there wouldn't be a whole lot
    of interest on this list.
