Opt Subject: To be deleted from named Sequences
Sir, In the Named Sequences for the Tamil Syllable,the Combined Alphabets (syllable) க்ஷ series (13 Numbers) and ஸ்ரீ (1 Number), which are of (C+C+V) form, are to be made invalid for the following reasons. 1. Fundamentally, Tamil Do not have Combined Alphabets, other than Vowel-Consonants, Viz.(C+V form). 2. The க்ஷ series and ஸ்ரீ have been added by the government of India, when the the Government of Tamil Nadu was not willing to join the Unicode Consortium, due to the refusal for recommending all character encoding. 3.Even now, the learned people also, in general, do not know how to Write these Combined Alphabets. 4. The Media alone is using these Combined Alphabets, in the News papers etc.. 5. The Keyboard also included these Combined Alphabets, erraniously. In the above circumstances these two Combined Alphabets may be deleted, from the list of Named Sequences. However 1. ஸ்ரீ can be added as a Sumbol like "ஓம்" by allotting a seperate code space. 2. But it should not find place in the Keyboard. 3 It can be included in the Character Map, for using, when required for Symbol Ever Yours A.R.Amaithi Anantham

195. Proposed Update UAX #34: Unicode Named Character Sequences Sir, The following Syllables are not used in Practice. The people do not know how to write these Syllables. Hence these Named sequences may be made as invalid, though not removed or changed..
