Disposition of Comments
The Draft Technical Corrigendum appears in JTC1/SC2 N
2972 (also SC2/WG2 N1635).
Responses to the letter ballot appear
in JTC1/SC2 N 3014 (also SC2/WG2 N1722).
National bodies that submitted comments
are listed below. Where a national body has submitted a negative vote the
indication (N) appears after its name in the list.
Finland
Accepted in principle.
The text will be adjusted as follows
to express more clearly the intended use of the collection called in DCOR2
a "dense collection".
In clause 19 (Block names) the following
words will be deleted:
"and for use in the specification
of subsets of coded graphic characters (see clause 13)"
In A.2 (Blocks in the BMP) the entries:
HEBREW EXTENDED-A 0590 - 05CF
BASIC HEBREW 05D0 - 05EA
HEBREW EXTENDED-B 05EB - 05FF
will be replaced by the single entry:
HEBREW 0590 - 05FF
(and Figure 4 will be correspondingly changed in the next edition of ISO/IEC 10646-1).
Republic of Korea (N)
Accepted.
On page 3 the entry in A.1 (Collections
of coded graphic characters):
71 HANGUL SYLLABLES AC00 - D7A3
will be amended to:
71 HANGUL SYLLABLES AC00 - D7A3 *
Turkey
Accepted in principle.
The reference to Figure 4 is correct,
since this new figure has been added in Amendment 5 (Hangul syllables)
which is due for publication by ITTF during the early part of 1998.
To clarify this point, the words "(see Amendment 5)" will be added at the end of clause 19 (Block names), after the existing words "illustrated in Figures 3 and 4"
