The meeting is hosted by IBM Corporation. Note that this meeting is *not* a joint meeting with X3L2. (The next joint meeting will be June 6-7.) Action Items due at UTC #68 --------------------------- These Action Items from UTC #67 all have UTC #68 as their deadline, so will be included in the agenda. They are arranged by the name of the person responsible for completion. Reports may be sent in advance to the "unicore" distribution list (please include the fact that your report is fulfillment of an action item from UTC #67). ALL PARTICIPANTS Consider the issue of ISO 10646 repertoire cut-off: whether it is better to keep in synch in physicality, or for one standard to always be up-to-date. Prepare arguments and rebuttals. ALIPRAND Report on the African Symbols in WG2 N1143. BECKER Project Editor (Becker) to supply status report on Mongolian script to Unicode Liaison to WG2 (Freytag) by March for Copenhagen meeting. GRIFFEE Proposed Co-location of UTC/X3L2 and X3V1 Meetings Find out the logistical support requirements for X3V1 and provide this information to Aliprand and Gilbert. Check on whether V1 would be willing to have a joint meeting. Also verify that NCR (formerly AT&T GIS) has the facilities available. HART (with McGowan) Braille: Take this topic and give Freytag further information, especially regarding the 1990 proposal so that he has something else to follow through on, rather than the incomplete set of information that has been given so far. JENKINS Jenkins and other attendees at the IRG meeting would report back to the UTC, in preparation for the WG2 meeting in April. MCGOWAN Report on Byzantine music notation at the March UTC. Braille: See HART above. SARGENT Object Replacement Character: Sargent is to produce a formal proposal (with the UTC's feedback incorporated from UTC 67) and submit it to McGowan so that we can submit it to WG2 as a formal document. Whistler proposed that the character: * Should be placed under Special Characters (as per Freytag). * Should be placed at FFFC and named as Object Replacement Character. * Symbol should also be a dashed square with "OBJ" inside. SUIGNARD Precomposed Characters for Pinyin (Defect Report): Write a proposal on the precomposed characters needed for pinyin. Submit it to the UTC for the March meeting. He is also to verify the existence of these characters. Call for Additional Agenda Items -------------------------------- Please submit agenda items as soon as possible. Post to the "unicore" distribution list (unicore@unicode.org). If supporting documentation is to be photocopied, please send it to Steve Greenfield at the Unicode Office by March 1. Otherwise, please bring at least 25 copies with you. To: UNICORE@UNICODE.ORG
