L2/03-111 Title: INFITT WG02 - Liaison Report Source: Michael Kaplan Date: March 6, 2003 Work on providing collation information is proceeding. The promise that their collation data can be put into the default table created a lot of excitement, but the need for contractions within their default has of course made them realize that they could not actually get this done. ------------------------------- In an ISO document (http://anubis.dkuug.dk/JTC1/SC2/WG2/docs/n2381r.pdf), the following sequence was provided for Tamil SHRI: U+0b9a U+0bcd U+0bb0 U+0bc0 It has been determined that this is incorrect and that the actual sequence is U+0bb8 U+0bcd U+0bb0 U+0bc0 ------------------------------- WG02 is very excited about the upcoming Unicode 4.0 and are hoping that their points of feedback are being incorporated into the document. ------------------------------- There are a few additional grantha characters, encoded now as ligatures, which several people would like to be added as new characters. They are working on a proposal and promise that there will be convincing reasons to do this related to representation.
