L2/04-064 From: Jerry Cooper Date: 2004-02-01 21:29:41 -0800 Subject: unicode proposal Rick, as much as I deplore the way Everson and Feuerherm froze Dean Snyder out of the authorship of the Unicode proposal that was substantially the work of Steve Tinney and NEVER would have come to pass without Dean's hard work and dedication, I completely support that proposal against all competition, including Dean's revision. I especially am opposed to Lloyd Anderson's proposal. Lloyd is not a cuneiformist. He was at all of the ICE meetings and had ample time to make his views and proposals known to the group that was preparing the proposal. That group consisted of a number of highly respected cuneiformists, and the Tinney proposal represents the consensus of those professionals. Jerry Cooper W. W.
