L2/04-188 Date/Time: May 27, 2004 Source: Ernest Cline Subject: Kannada Vowel Signs E and I KANNADA VOWEL SIGN I (U+0CBF) and KANNADA VOWEL SIGN E (U+0CC6) have what appear to be inconsistent character properties in UnicodeData.txt. The have General Category Mn and Bidi Class L. All other characters of category Mn have Bidi Class NSM. Also UAX#9 describes NSM as the Bidi class of all characters of categories Me and Mn. The representative glyphs given in the code charts leads me to beleive that it is probably the Bidi Class which is incorrect for these two characters.
