L2/12-152 Source: Michel Suignard Date: May 1, 2012 Subject: Unicode 6.1 Errata Digesting the ballot comments concerning the FDIS for the 3rd edition, I found some that are applicable to Unicode 6.1 as well. - 8 missing glyphs for H sources in the main CJK block. These corresponds to the newly added Big-5 entries. 5A0C HB1-AE5C 5DC7 HB2-F445 6501 HB2-EFD5 6CCC HB1-AA63 722C HB1-AAA6 73FA HB2-D673 9E01 HB2-F8E3 9EAE HB2-ECB2 - 1 missing glyph for T source in CJK Extension-A 488C TF-2872 - U source attached to the wrong character UTC-0600 is currently attached to U+2A8AB (original info came from UTR-45 which is in error and was duplicated in Unihan and the chart). It should be 2A8A7. ---------------------- The 8 missing HK-Big5 glyphs baffle me. For Big 5, I am using a font designed for the HK market (MingLiu_HKSCS) which was provided to us by Microsoft with a special name for (MingLiu_HKSCS For UTC) to allow side by side install with the equivalent system font. If I use the regular Windows 7 provided font, all these glyphs show. So I would need a new font from Microsoft to fix this. I could temporarily use the Windows 7 font, but because it is not versioned it can’t be a long term solution (any windows update could silently replace that font). Alternative is to use another versioned Ming style font (KenL?). Michel
