The Unicode Encoded Logo
Webmasters sometimes wish to indicate with a logo or banner that
their site supports or uses Unicode. For such purposes we have
developed several logos that can be freely displayed on web sites. You
can use a Unicode Encoded logo to indicate that a page (or collection
of pages) is encoded using Unicode.
- Each such page must be encoded in UTF-8 or other valid
encoding scheme of Unicode.
- Each such page must be validated with the
W3C HTML validator to ensure
that the UTF-8 or other encoding of the pages is valid. (If the W3C
validator does not complain that the encoding of the page is
invalid, then you can still display the logo even if you have other
unrelated HTML validation errors on your pages.)
- The logos must be used with a hyperlink that points to our web
site, http://www.unicode.org/.
How to Use the Logos
To display any of these logos, you can simply copy and paste one of
the following HTML fragments into your page with your favorite HTML
editor, and download a copy of which ever logo you prefer to use. (To
download a copy of the logo in most environments you would right-click
on it and use "Save Image as".)
Please don't abuse these logos, but display them with pride only on
sites for which they are relevant and correct. Please do download and
keep your own copy of the logos on your web site, rather than linking
to our site for the image itself.
