IRG Document Register

The table below provides quick links to all of the recent IRG document registers, organized in ranges of 250 document numbers, if available. Note that documents created before IRG N2700 may include hyperlinks to the previous IRG home page, which may no longer be maintained in the future. The Internet Archive Wayback Machine is an alternate way to access older IRG documents. Migration of available documents is considered incomplete for document number ranges in bold.

Duplicate Document Numbers

Six IRG document numbers — IRG N1022 through IRG N1027 — were each assigned to two unrelated documents for IRG Meeting #21 and IRG Meeting #22. The same is true for IRG N1110, which was assigned to two unrelated documents for IRG Meeting #23 and IRG Meeting #24. IRG N1129, IRG N1168, and IRG N1224 were also assigned to two unrelated documents, and IRG N1210 was assigned to three unrelated documents. The rows for the duplicate document number assignments are shaded in gray on the IRG Document Register for 1001–1250 page.

Document Search

This form can be used to find IRG documents by their document number, if available in this IRG document register, and will generate a page containing links to all available documents, to include revisions, if any. Using fewer digits will find documents whose document numbers begin with the specified digits. For example, entering 272 will find documents IRG N2720 through N2729.

IRG documents can also be searched by using the following URL, followed by one to four digits, which will behave exactly like the form above: https://www.unicode.org/cgi-bin/GetMatchingIRGDocs.pl?

Key Historical Documents

While all IRG documents are considered historical, hence the purpose of this document register, the following are considered key historical IRG documents or national standards in the sense that they are no longer maintained or are difficult to find, but can serve as research material:

Document Migration Status

As of 2026-01-31, the files associated with 1,942 unique IRG document numbers have been posted to the current IRG document register, and all available documents for IRG Meeting #31 and later — document IRG N1489 and higher — have been migrated. In addition, all available documents from IRG N001 through N1250 have been migrated (712 document numbers in that range are either not available or were never assigned). Together these figures represent approximately 91% of the unique IRG document numbers.
