Abstract

Using the Unicode 3.0 Character Property Database: A Unicode Character Viewer

John O'Conner - Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Intended Audience: Software Engineer
Session Level: Intermediate

The Unicode 3.0 specification provides a complete database of character property information. Character properties are both interesting to peruse and essential to develop Unicode conformant implementations. This technical session describes the Unicode database files and discusses how one might use them in an example application: a Unicode character viewer.
