To carry forward the well-established Chinese culture via advanced computer technology, we developed the super font and related application technologies, which have adopted surrogate for Unicode to display over 65,000 Chinese characters in one font. Based on the long-term accumulation, we have worked out the brand new input method for the super font and developed tools for typesetting and retrieval. The development of the font and technologies has provided wider application for professional publishers in the area of Chinese word processing. In recent years, the achievement is not only successfully applied to the editing and printing of the ancient books and dictionaries, but also to medical insurance, management of household registration and retrieval of historical archives, creating high-standard application systems.
